Terms and Conditions

The Dolce Vita Spa Center is the relaxation space inside Grand Hotel Italia.

As a visitor you agree to comply with the following regulations.

  1. Opening Hours and SPA Access

Our working schedule is displayed in the SPA Reception, Hotel Reception and on our Website. It is subject to modifications, both for hotel guests and for outside visitors.

The duration of your access depends on the entrance fee. The access to the Spa Center is granted solely to those who have made prior reservations.

Paying the access fee does not guarantee the availability of a sunbed.

Grand Hotel Italia’s management can temporarily limit or restrict access to the SPA if the maximum operating capacity is reached. This measure is required in order for Dolce Vita SPA’s guests to have the most relaxing experience possible.

Grand Hotel Italia’s management can partially restrict access to some areas / facilities in the SPA Center (technical faults and reviews, cleaning and sanitation, etc.) In such cases, access fees are not refunded and discounts are not granted.

The closing hour is the time at every customer needs to leave Dolce Vita Spa’s premises. The usage of the swimming pools, saunas and other facilities ends 20 minutes before the announced closing time, at which point you are invited to head to the changing rooms.

For safety reasons, the areas within Dolce Vita SPA’s premises are partially monitored with video cameras. The recordings can be accessed, only in emergency cases or in cases of suspicious activities, by authorized personnel and by the police. The are useful to ensure the safety of our guests and our location. Dolce Vita SPA does not assume responsibility for theft or loss of guests’ personal belongings.

People suffering from physical or mental disabilities and people who require supervision can access Dolce Vita SPA’s services and facilities only in the presence of an adult companion. SPA facilities may be used by these persons after strictly taking into account the contraindications shown.

We recommend you make the appointments in advance for our SPA treatments and rituals, in the desired time interval. If you want to cancel a reservation, it is important to announce the cancellation at least 24 hours prior to the appointment, to avoid getting charged additional costs.

Please be at the SPA Reception at least 15 minutes before your appointment. Delays reduce the time allocated to therapies.

The access of children under 13 years old is forbiden in the swimming pools and saunas area, except on Fridays. Minors between 13 and 18 yers old cand use the SPA services and facilities solely accompanied by an adult (parent, legal guardian). The responsabilities for any damages, accidents caused by the minors or for not following the regulations is borne by the parents / guardians. The minors’ companions are directly responsible for their supervision and safety.

Minors under 14 years of age can benefit from massages if they are in the presence of a parent / legal guardian.

Dolce Vita SPA employees have the right to request an identity document or any document that proves the minor’s age.

Access to the SPA with food and drinks from outside the location is prohibited.

Access to guests under the influence of alcoholic beverages or drugs is denied.

Access to the SPA with pets is not allowed.

Each client receives a towel upon access to the SPA. Bath robes are available for rent and guests that benefit from massage treatments with receive them at no cost. Hotel guests will use the bath robe from their hotel room. Rented towels and bath robes are monitored. Failure to return them is considered theft and will lead to the application of the criminal law.

  1. Rules of Conduct

Our SPA space is an oasis of peace and relaxation. Please keep quiet and respect the right to privacy and relaxation of our other guests. Dolce Vita SPA’s Management has the liberty to restrict access to visitors who do not respect other guestsneed for peace and quiet.

Guests need to have a demeanor that will not affect the safety of other guests and of Dolce Vita SPA’s employees.

Please keep the order and cleanliness inside the SPA.

Dolce Vita SPA warns you that there are wet areas with a high risk of slipping throughout the premises. It is recommended that all guests wear non-slip slippers.

Shouting and talking in a high or agressive tone is prohibited.

Alcohol intoxication (drunkenness) is forbidden. We recommend moderate consumption of alcoholic beverages inside the SPA. Dolce Vita SPA’s management has the right to limit or refuse the serving of alcoholic beverages if the situation so requires.

Drinks and food are consumed in specially designated areas: the dining and bar area. We recommend hydration during your visit at the SPA, especially after the time spent in the sauna.

Consult your doctor if you suffer from any medical conditions that would prevent you from using our facilities. Pregnant women need their doctor’s consent in order to use the saunas or to benefit from certain rituals offered by our therapists.

If you feel sick or dizzy, inform the Reception or a staff member. In case of emergency, press the alarm button and follow the evacuation instructions communicated by our employees.

We are not responsible for the theft/ loss/ damages to your personal items. They should be stored in lockers or in your hotel rooms.

Nudity is not allowed in the SPA Center. Swimwear must be worn at all times.

Smoking is forbidden inside the SPA.

Recording and/or photographing in the SPA is prohibited.

Dolce Vita SPA Center reserves the right to refuse or restrict access to customers exhibiting inappropriate behavior: physical and/or verbal aggression, obscene language, alcoholic intoxication, nudity. The previously charged fee will not be refunded.

  1. Swimming Pool and Jacuzzi Use

It is mandatory to use the shower before accessing the swimming pool or the jacuzzi.

It is forbidden to enter the poor or jacuzzi with your hair let down.

Swimming equipment includes a swimsuit plus a swimming cap, optionally swimming googles. To avoid injuries, we recommend wearing indoor flip-flops for the pool area.

Running around the pool or jumping in the water is not allowed.

Access to the pool is made strictly through the stairs area, using the railing.

Consuming drinks in the pool and jacuzzi area is forbidden.

  1. Sauna Etiquette

To avoid any inconvenience, carefully read the instructions displayed at the entrance to the sauna, as well as those provided at the Reception area. If you have any questions please contact the front desk Reception or the staff members.

It is advisable to not spend more than 10-15 minutes in the sauna. Prolonged exposure to sauna can cause dizziness, dehydration, nausea or fainting.

Cooling and hydration breaks are essential before re-entering the sauna.

Seeing that the SPA is a place for relaxation and meditation, speaking in a loud voice is not allowed.

Access to the sauna is not allowed carrying these items: jewelry and metal objects, slippers, food or drinks.

Seats in the sauna are not reserved.

It is mandatory to use the shower both before entering the sauna as well as after exiting the sauna.

For hygiene reasons, please make sure to properly use the towel in the dry sauna so that your skin doesn’t touch the wooden benches.

Guests are not allowed to use various infusion products on the sauna stones. The SPA staff is the only one in charge of sauna aromatherapy.

Do not interrupt an Aufguss session that is in progress. Please wait for the ritual to be finished in order to use the sauna. If you are a participant in this ritual, listen to the instructions delivered by the responsible specialist.

Following exposure to the sauna, the body is sensitized and continues to sweat. Before you get dressed, please make sure you are completely dry and continue to hydrate.

  1. Massage Rooms, Body and Facial Treatments

The access to the massage rooms is made exclusively based on appointments and is subject to availability. It is necessary to listen to the therapist’s instructions for a proper unfolding of the relaxation ritual.

The SPA price for therapies and treatments is not included in the SPA entry fee.

Guests opting for body and/or facial rituals are subject to a small written questionnaire in the Reception area, designed to assess their health.

The pressure, rhythm, massage techniques and products used differ from one therapy to another. Please request any information from our SPA colleagues in order to select the suitable therapy for you. All therapies are carried out according to a predetermined protocol.

  1. Privacy Policy

The Dolce Vita SPA Center guarantees the protection of personal information. Any information collected from our customers remains in our database with the purpose of improving our services.

  1. Suggestions & Complaints

For suggestions and complaints you can contact us using the spareception@selecthotels.it emailing address or you can use a special form at the SPA Reception. You will receive a response in 7 days time from the moment you submit them or from the moment they come into our attention.

  1. Lost & Found Items

Guests who find items that do not belong to them, inside Dolce Vita SPA, will hand them over at the SPA Reception. These will be collected at the end of the program and kept as follows:

  • Valuables (phones, laptops, tablets, valuable jewelry, cash, documents, etc.) will be kept for 10 days, after which they will be handed over.
  • Lost items will be kept at Dolce Vita SPA for a period of 30 days. If the are not claimed, they will be donated or be discarded.
